A set of spray masks Eduard 1:72 Spitfire Mk.XVI Highback for cleanly masking the cockpit canopy and the wheels on the matching kit in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks made of kabuki tape for cleanly spraying the canopy frames, the glazing and the tires. The masks follow the shapes of the parts in 1:72 scale exactly and replace laborious masking with tape by hand. This is an accessory for a kit, not an aircraft model.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XVI was a late version of the famous British fighter aircraft, powered by a Merlin engine built under license in the United States by Packard. The designation Highback refers to the original shape of the fuselage with a taller spine behind the cockpit, unlike the later machines with a cut-down spine and a bubble canopy. The Mk.XVI saw use at the end of the Second World War above all in attacks on ground targets.
Apply the masks with clean tweezers onto paint that is thoroughly dry and press the edges gently so that the paint does not creep under the edge. Spray in thin coats and take the mask off while the last coat is still tacky. Use the smaller offcuts of the masks to cover small lights and boarding steps.
The masks serve as an accessory for a kit. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included.
