The Sukhoi Su-24 is a Soviet twin-engined combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, intended for attacks on ground targets. Its crew of two sit side by side, which is an unusual arrangement among combat aircraft. The Su-24M version is the modernized form with extended equipment for navigation and for the use of guided munitions. The machines stayed in service after the break-up of the Soviet Union as well and flew in the air forces of several countries.

They replace items that in plastic are necessarily thicker than the scale warrants, and they add the small structure an injection mold will not hold. The extent of the set and the position of the parts are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface; scissors bend the metal. Once separated, sand the remains of the tab with a fine file. Bending is done in a bending tool or between two blades, always in one stroke. They are glued with super glue applied drop by drop on the tip of a pin; ordinary cement for plastic has no effect on metal. Degrease the parts before painting and spray them with an undercoat; on bare metal the paint is rubbed off during handling.
For modelers who are building the Su-24M in 1:72 scale and want to take the model beyond the level of the parts from the kit. Working with photo-etch calls for tweezers, a sharp blade and calm, but the result shows on a finished model. Whether the parts will fit a particular kit is something to check in the instructions for the set. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
