A rich blue modeling paint matching the shade listed in the Federal Standard 595 chart under number FS15102 and the name True Blue.
Federal Standard 595 is an American color chart that assigns every shade a five-digit number. The first digit sets the gloss level, and the 1 at the start of 15102 marks the glossy group. The number thus describes the shade unambiguously: two paints carrying the same chart code are meant to match each other regardless of who made them.
A glossy surface is a rewarding base for decals. No air bubbles remain trapped underneath, and the edge of the carrier film shows through less, so the decal blends into the paint better. Rich blue suits bold color bands, decoration, and areas meant to stay glossy on the finished model. If the result should be matte, spray a matte topcoat over the area once it is dry.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before working and repeat the shaking during longer sessions. Apply in thin coats and let the surface flash off between them; rich blue covers more readily over a light, smooth base than directly on dark plastic, so on larger areas it pays to lay down a base coat first. The thinner, mixing ratio and spraying pressure follow the manufacturer's instructions.
The package contains only the paint. Thinner, brushes and an airbrush are not included, unless stated otherwise.
