A photo-etched set of the boarding ladder for the Su-27 fighter in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Amigo Models. This is an accessory for an aircraft model, not a stand-alone aircraft kit: a small metal detail that can turn a plainly displayed model into a living scene on the flight line.
The Sukhoi Su-27 is a twin-engine air superiority fighter developed in the Soviet Union in the 1970s and 1980s and still operated by a number of air forces. Because of the height of the fuselage the pilot reaches the cockpit by a tall boarding ladder, which is an inseparable part of every picture taken on the ramp. It is exactly this characteristic item that the set renders with a scale fineness injection-molded plastic cannot reach.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface and make the bends with smooth-jawed tweezers or with a bender. Glue the assembly with cyanoacrylate glue in small amounts applied with a pin. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer; a light final wash brings out the structure of the rungs.
This is an accessory set; the aircraft model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
