A plastic model of the Ultra Hawk 1 — the flagship machine of the elite Ultra Guard unit of the TDF ground defense force from the famous Japanese series Ultra Seven. The 1:72 kit is made by the Japanese company Fujimi. It is the largest and most iconic machine of the whole Ultra Hawk fleet, and therefore a crowning piece for every collector of classic Japanese science fiction.
Ultra Seven from the late 1960s, the work of the Tsuburaya studio, defined the shape of the Japanese tokusatsu genre for decades to come. In the series the Ultra Hawk 1 is the main combat machine of the Ultra Guard unit — an elegant silver aircraft whose most famous feature is the ability to split in flight into three separate machines that can operate independently and join up again. The launch sequence from the underground base is one of the unforgettable moments of the series.
A surface that looks metallic comes out best on a perfectly smooth base — fill the joints, sand them down and lay a gloss black base before spraying the metallic shades. Mask the color accents and the prominent elements exactly according to the instructions; clean lines are essential on this machine. Pick out the panel lines gently with a wash so that the shapes show up even in photographs.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
