A plastic model of the Ultra Hawk 2 — the rocket machine of the elite Ultra Guard unit from the Japanese series Ultra Seven. The 1:72 kit is made by the Japanese company Fujimi, which has worked the Ultra Hawk machines up for collectors of classic tokusatsu. The slender rocket shape makes the model a striking exhibit that cannot be missed.
Ultra Seven, shot in the late 1960s by the Tsuburaya studio, ranks among the most famous Japanese science fiction series of all time. In it the Ultra Guard unit of the ground defense force uses the Ultra Hawk machines to defend the Earth — while the first serves as the main fighter machine, the Ultra Hawk 2 has the shape of a rocket and is deployed above all on flights beyond the atmosphere. It is precisely its vertical rocket silhouette that makes it one of the most characteristic machines of the whole series.
The rocket body deserves a smooth, carefully polished surface — fill and sand the seams between the parts and apply the paint in thin coats. Precise masking will bring out the color division given in the instructions; straight lines are the basis of success with this shape. The model is nicely set off by a simple stand on which the launch attitude stands out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
