Ten drill bits of small diameters ranging from three tenths to one point six millimeters, stored in a box. This very range covers almost everything a modeler needs to drill: gun muzzles, holes for pins and wire, exhausts, wiring and holes for photo-etch. The box keeps the bits in order, which with tools this thin decides how long they last.
Use bits of this size in a pin vise or in a slow-running micro drill; high speeds will snap them. Do not press, as the bit will find its own way. Mark the spot with a point first, otherwise the bit will skate across a smooth surface. Drill into resin and metal slowly and remove the swarf in small steps. Put the bits back into the box; loose in a drawer they break before you get to use them.
The smallest diameters break most often, so with them it pays to drill in several passes and to withdraw the bit regularly so that the swarf can escape.
The bits are thin and fragile. Protect your eyes while drilling and keep the set out of the reach of children.
