The Hiace of the H200 generation has been built since the middle of the first decade of this century and in Japan it is among the most widespread commercial vehicles of all. The TRH200V code denotes the shorter variant with a standard-width body, a gasoline four-cylinder and rear-wheel drive. Super GL is a higher trim level derived from the van version, thanks to which the vehicle became the basis of the extensive Japanese scene of modified vans, from working machines to low-slung dress-up conversions.
From a modeling point of view the Hiace is above all a large flat surface. That is precisely why the preparation of the surface matters most on it: every imperfection of the side, every remnant of a parting line and the slightest sink mark will show as soon as a gloss finish goes on. Work therefore from coarser to finer abrasive paper, always wet and with a backing behind the paper so that the surface does not ripple. Spray thin coats at a sufficient distance and leave full covering power until the third or fourth coat. Once the finish has dried out completely it can be polished with abrasive paste, which makes the biggest difference on white and metallic shades.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
