Gundam Marker Airbrush Nibs are replacement nibs for markers of the Gundam Marker line, meant for airbrush use.
This is neither paint nor a kit, but a consumable replacement part. The nib of a marker is a component that wears with use: it gradually clogs with dried paint, blunts and stops releasing paint evenly. Replacing the nib returns the marker to its original behavior without your having to buy a whole new one. According to the name, these nibs are meant for markers of the Gundam Marker line in airbrush mode, where the paint from the marker is atomized by a stream of air.
The most common signal is an uneven deposit: the marker writes for a while, then skips, and under pressure releases too much paint. Another sign is a frayed or flattened end of the nib that no longer holds a clean line, and a nib clogged with paint of a different shade after a refill. In airbrush use a coarser, irregular spray pattern shows up as well.
Before replacing, let the marker and the nib dry and work over a mat, because the paint left in the nib smears easily. Fit the new nib straight on, without levering it to the side. After the change, let the paint wick into the nib and make a test stroke or a test spray onto waste, not straight onto the model. Do not keep used nibs loose, so that they do not gather dust.
The marker itself, the paint and the airbrush adapter are not part of this package.
