Photo-etched L-shaped brackets for the spare wheel holder for the Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. J with Vorpanzer spaced armor, 1:35 scale, ten pieces in the package.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a kit but a photo-etched detail accessory for models of the medium tank Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. J in 1:35 scale. According to the name the set contains ten L-shaped brackets that belong to the mounting of a spare road wheel on a vehicle with Vorpanzer spaced armor. Photo-etched sheet allows a thickness that cannot be produced in injection-molded plastic, so the mount really looks like a sheet-metal profile on a model rather than a thickened molding.
Spare road wheels were fixed to the hull by simple profile brackets. On a model this is a small but clearly visible element on the front of the vehicle, which with molded parts as a rule cannot be made to scale thickness. Ten pieces in the package cover several mounts or serve as a reserve when bending.
Cut the parts out of the fret with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface rather than with scissors, otherwise the sheet will ripple. Bend them in an etch bender or over a straight edge so that the bend is sharp and at a right angle. Glue them with cyanoacrylate applied in a minimal amount on the tip of a toothpick. Before painting, degrease the sheet and apply a primer intended for metal, otherwise the paint will not hold on the photo-etched part and will rub off during handling.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
