Yahu Models 1:72 Mustang III (P-51 B/C) is a finished instrument panel for a model of the Mustang with a framed canopy, to be stuck in place of the plastic part.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for the cockpit of a model, seated in place of the plastic panel. The designation Mustang III is the British name for the P-51B and P-51C versions, which is why the name holds both. The accessory is finished and you do not have to paint it.
The B and C versions differ from the later D version above all in the canopy: they have a framed or bulged canopy without the all-round bubble, and with it a different view into the cockpit. The instrumentation was analog and the panel was one of the more densely populated ones, because the machine served on long escort flights and carried the corresponding navigation and engine instruments. In 1:72 scale the whole panel is a few millimeters wide, so a finished part brings a legibility that hand painting achieves only with difficulty.
First assemble the cockpit dry and find out how high the panel seats under the coaming. Sand the plastic part flat and lay the accessory against it. Dose the glue with a toothpick in small drops; any excess will run across a small cockpit and mark the surrounding surfaces. Seat the panel before closing the fuselage. Given the shape of the canopy, with these versions it pays to check the result from the outside as well, under the clear part in place, before you fix it down for good.
The accessory is supplied on its own, without a kit, paints and glue.
