It is neither a vehicle kit nor a figure set but a detailing accessory that is added to a finished hardware model, to a machine gun mount or placed about a diorama. The MG3 is a machine gun type of 7.62 mm caliber widespread in NATO armies, so the boxes will find use with modern and postwar hardware of Western origin.
Ammunition boxes are among the details a viewer notices without looking for them. They can be placed on a fender, on the roof of a cargo bed, by a machine gun mount, inside a vehicle or simply on the ground beside figures. Pick out the catches and handles in a darker tone, so that they stand out from an unbroken surface. When a box is open, leave the inside darker than the outside; contrast makes depth.
