An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer First to Fight. The subject of the model is a two-horse carriage meant for moving the Bofors 37 mm wz.36 anti-tank gun. It is an accessory to an artillery arrangement that completes the typical period pairing of a means of traction and a weapon.
The Bofors 37 mm wz.36 gun was a Polish licensed anti-tank gun derived from a Swedish design, and in the second half of the 1930s it was among the basic anti-tank armament of infantry units. The weapon was light and could be moved by motorized traction as well as by a horse team. At that time a two-horse carriage was a common way of carrying light guns and their ammunition across terrain where motorization was not available.
The small parts of the carriage are slender in this scale, so separate them with a sharp file or a cutter and glue them with a thin cement for plastic laid on by capillary action. The harness and the fittings come into their own once a primer has been sprayed on. It works well to build the carriage and the gun separately, paint them and join them only at the end. Wooden areas are brought to life by dry brushing and a darker wash into the seams, and metal fittings are picked out by a graphite pencil.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
