A set of figures cast in modeling resin in 1:35. The word set in the name marks it as a multi-figure package rather than one figure. The castings are supplied unpainted and unassembled and serve as an add-on to a finished model or as the basis of a scene.
Resin holds the sharp detail of clothing and small equipment better than injection-molded plastic, but it is brittle and cracks under too much pressure. Wash all the parts first in lukewarm water with dish soap, so that the mold release agent is removed — on a greasy surface neither the base nor the paint holds. Cut the casting blocks off a little way from the part and sand the remainder down flat; wipe the parting lines down with fine paper. Sand with your airways protected. It is assembled with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); with a set it pays to put the figures together dry into the intended composition first and only then to glue.
With a multi-figure set the unity of the scene is the key thing: use the same base, the same palette and the same final matte clear coat, so that the figures read as one whole. At the same time, tune the shades of the individual garments slightly apart, or the group will look artificial. Handle the faces with oil paints or very thinned acrylics, and the folds of the fabric with glazing and a fine dry brush. If you add dust pigments to the footwear and the lower part of the clothing, you will tie the figures optically to the base of the diorama.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, a base and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
