A set of resin figures in 1:35 from the figure line of the maker PANZER ART. The word set in the name means a multi-figure package. It is not a vehicle kit — the set serves as an add-on to a finished model or as the basis of a diorama scene of its own.
Composition. The poses come from a single subject, the preparation of ammunition, and they are carried out so that they follow on from each other: the figures lean toward one imaginary point, so that a readable scene can be composed from them at the rear of a vehicle, at open crates or at unloaded cargo. The Waffen-SS marking is meanwhile a statement about the execution of the clothing and the equipment — for a modeler it mainly settles that painting a camouflage pattern will probably come into play with this set.
Wash all the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap, separate the casting blocks with a saw or a knife and sand the faces down wet with your airways protected. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). With a multi-figure set, lay the figures out dry on a base first and only then decide on the final placement, on any turning and on adjusting the bases.
Painting. Work on all the figures in parallel. Mix the camouflage pattern up in reserve and carry it on all the figures by the same logic — an inconsistent pattern on two figures side by side is the most conspicuous mistake that can be made with such a set. Keep the pattern fine, so that it does not look coarse in 1:35, and leave the edges of the patches soft. Handle shadow and light only over the finished pattern: a dark glaze into the folds, lightening of the edges. Mix the shades of the skin from a single batch as well, with only small differences between the figures. At the end even the gloss out with a matte clear coat.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
