Improvised armor for the Afrika Korps command Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. H in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of cast improvised add-on sandbag armor for the German command tank on the Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. H chassis, in the version used in North Africa, in 1:35 scale. The parts are shaped to particular areas of the vehicle, so the lengthy modeling from putty falls away.
Command tanks were based on ordinary machines, but instead of part of the ammunition they carried radio sets and had large aerials as well. That is exactly why they were a priority target for the enemy, and their crews tried to increase their protection with whatever was at hand. In North Africa there was the added need to break up the outline of the vehicle in open country.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and try the fit dry. Bond with super glue and fill the seam against the armor. Paint the canvas flat and let the shades between the individual pieces vary slightly. Work light dust into the folds, because in dried-out terrain that is where it collects.
The set is an accessory to a kit and does not replace the kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
