The subject is the first generation Subaru BRZ, set apart in the name by the factory body code and the 2012 model year. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and cement for plastic, paints and basic modeling tools are needed to finish it.
The Subaru BRZ is a light two-door coupe with rear-wheel drive that came about in joint development by Subaru and Toyota and was presented at the beginning of 2012. Under the hood works a naturally aspirated flat four mounted low and as close as possible to the center of the car, which gives the vehicle a low center of gravity and sensitive responses to steering. As with the classic Japanese coupes, the aim was not record power but balance, low weight and usability both on a circuit and on an ordinary road. The code given in the name is the factory designation of the first generation body, which in Japanese modeling practice is commonly used to tell the versions apart.
The body of the coupe has soft transitions in which flaws hide well, but which at the same time give away every uneven face on the sides - use a filler primer and spray in thin coats. Mask the glazing and the window frames carefully. Finish the interior and the chassis before you close the body up, and apply the decals onto a gloss base with a decal softener. Finally seal everything with a varnish in the chosen degree of gloss.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
