Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Kovozavody Prostejov representing the German Grunau Baby unpowered training glider in the IIb version. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, with a decal sheet. It is a rewarding subject with clean lines, a rich history and a great many operators.
The Grunau Baby was one of the most successful and most widespread training gliders ever built. From the 1930s onwards it was produced in large numbers and used in many countries for basic glider training as well as for record flights. The IIb version was rugged, forgiving of mistakes and easy to maintain, which earned it a reputation as the ideal machine for beginner glider pilots. As an unpowered aircraft it has no powerplant.
A clean surface is crucial on a glider: fill the seams and sand them smooth. Bond the plastic with thin cement and mask the glazing. Seat the long wings exactly to the right dihedral and let them cure thoroughly. Apply the period gloss or light shades over a primer with an airbrush for an even surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
