A scenic accessory on a circus theme for figures of 54 mm size, belonging to the range designated The Freak Out Show.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a scenic accessory intended for a diorama, that is a piece of setting into which a figure is placed. The 54 mm size gives the height of figures the scene is cut for. The theme carries the name Calamity Circus and the item belongs to the range designated The Freak Out Show, which builds on fairground and circus imagery.
A figure on its own on a bare base always looks a little like a sample. Only the setting around it says where it is standing and what is going on, and the viewer then reads the whole scene rather than just the quality of the painting. Scenic accessories can also be used in parts: what does not fit into one scene will serve in the next. A fairground theme has the advantage of taking exaggeration as well as a more serious treatment, so every builder shifts the scene to wherever they need it.
Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise neither the primer nor the paint will hold. Cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down carefully. The suitable glue and the particular preparation procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions. Apply the paint in thin coats and tone the scene down more than the figure, so that the figure stays the main thing; that unifies the whole and the eye then goes by itself where it should.
The set is for modelers who build figure scenes at 54 mm size and want to build a setting with a story of its own around the figure.
A scenic accessory is supplied. Paints, glue, tools and a base for the diorama are not included, unless stated otherwise.
