Responsibility details are not available.
A small plastic kit of the Soviet ISU-152 heavy self-propelled gun in 1:100 scale from Zvezda. It is a snap-fit model for tabletop wargames; the parts fit into one another and the basic shape goes together even without glue. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and for the exact contents follow the instructions supplied with it.
The ISU-152 was a Soviet heavy self-propelled gun built on the chassis of the IS series of heavy tanks. In a fixed casemate on the hull it carried a massive 152 mm gun-howitzer, which it used for direct fire against fortifications, buildings and heavy enemy tanks, hence its nickname as a destroyer of armored vehicles. It was fielded from 1943 as an all-purpose support weapon of Soviet assault units.
Reinforce the snap-fit joints with a drop of liquid cement for plastic. Because of the small scale, deburr the parts carefully and sand down the parting lines. Spray the base coat over a primer in the classic Soviet green; on such a small area a careful brush will do just as well. A dark wash in the corners will pick out the rivets and the details of the casemate, and dust and mud pigments on the tracks and the lower hull will add a realistic patina.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
