Zvezda 1:100 Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär — a simple kit of the German assault gun from the line of small models suitable for war games as well.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small plastic kit of the German assault gun Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär in 1:100 scale from the manufacturer Zvezda. The model belongs to a line of simple kits of hardware of the Second World War whose parts are designed to hold even without glue — you will put them together in a moment and they suit both a collection of micro scales and the playing table of war games.
The Sturmpanzer IV, nicknamed Brummbär (grumbler) by the soldiers, came about on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank. In a fully enclosed armored superstructure it carried the short 150 mm StuH 43 howitzer, intended for destroying fortifications, barricades and buildings by direct fire. It was first deployed in 1943 at Kursk and afterward served in Italy and on the Western Front, where it proved itself mainly in fighting in towns.
The parts are designed to join without glue, but for lasting strength we recommend running a fine drop of cement for plastic into the joints. In a small scale simple painting comes out well: a base in dark yellow Dunkelgelb, possibly camouflage blotches, an overall wash and a dry brush on the edges. For gaming use, consider spraying the model with a matte varnish, which will protect the paint during handling.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
