A richly broken-down plastic kit of the Bell AH-1G Cobra attack helicopter in 1:32 scale. It is a reissue of a popular tooling in a new Revell box with current decals. The set contains more than two hundred parts, the glazing of the canopy and multilingual illustrated instructions, so it will please experienced modelers as well as builders who want to try a bigger model.
The AH-1 Cobra was the first outright attack helicopter in the world. It came into being on the basis of experience from Vietnam, where the army needed a fast and narrow machine able to escort and protect transport helicopters. A narrow fuselage with the pilot and the gunner in tandem, a nose weapon turret and wings with pylons for rocket pods and machine guns made it a feared weapon of close air support. The AH-1G version was the basic production variant fielded in Southeast Asia.
Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement and clean up the joints of the fuselage carefully. Before painting we recommend a base coat (a primer), and an airbrush will manage the spraying itself best. The large size of the model comes out well with the panel lines emphasized by a dark wash and with a fine patina on the exhaust and weapon areas. Mask the glazed canopy before spraying.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
