Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Kawasaki 500-SS Mach III motorcycle in the H1 version, in the late form of the 1970 model year and in 1:12 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa. The large scale allows detailed work on the engine, the frame and the trio of exhausts. The number of parts, the contents of the decal sheet and the color variants are given in the enclosed instructions.
The Kawasaki 500-SS Mach III appeared at the end of the 1960s and became famous for the combination of a three-cylinder two-stroke engine of 500 cubic centimeters and fairly low weight. In its day the motorcycle was among the most powerful production machines in its class, and its characteristic features were the trio of exhausts and a lively delivery of power at higher revolutions. The individual model years differed in details of the frame, the chassis and the color finish.
Work from the engine and the frame toward the running gear and fit the painted tank and fenders only at the end. Cement chromed parts with a glue that does not fog the surface, ideally a super glue gel. The engine is sold by a combination of aluminum and steel shades with a fine dark wash in the recesses. The tank with its period striping can be handled with decals or with masking, but both call for a smooth gloss base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
