An injection-molded plastic kit of the Honda RC213V racing motorcycle in 1:12 scale from the Japanese company Tamiya. The model captures the factory machine of the Repsol Honda team from the 2014 MotoGP season. The box holds clear parts for the windscreen and the tank grips that need no gluing, rubber slick tires, removable fairing parts and parts for building a racing stand.
The Honda RC213V is a prototype racing motorcycle of the premier MotoGP class. It is powered by a potent four-stroke 1000 cc V4 with pneumatic valve springs, backed up by a seamless gearbox, traction control, an anti-wheelie system and engine brake control. It carries an aluminum twin-tube frame. In the 2014 season the young Marc Márquez, number 93, dominated on this machine in Repsol Honda colors and took the world title.
Bond the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement for styrene. On a motorcycle, pay attention to the frame, the engine and the fairing — the gloss finish of the Repsol color scheme is best laid on with an airbrush over a primer and then polished. Settle the sponsor decals onto a smooth painted surface and cover them with a gloss coat so that the edges disappear. Bring out the chrome and metal parts (the exhaust, the shock absorbers, the wheel components) with metallic shades. The masking stickers supplied make painting easier, and the clear parts should be fitted last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
