The pen itself, which the tips belong in, is a separate item; here it is only a replacement for worn tips.

Use

• The thinner 3 mm tip suits small areas and places where you need to work precisely and not touch the surroundings
• The typical job is a local intervention in a surface: cleaning up a small irregularity, removing excess glue or a sprue gate mark, smoothing and polishing a small area
• Work with short strokes and little pressure, as the material of the model goes faster than expected
• The tip is a consumable part. When it stops biting or gets short, replace it, as working with a worn tip tempts you to press and to damage the part
• After the work, degrease the area and clear it of dust, and only then apply a base coat or paint

Who they are for

For owners of the Rubbing Stick pen from the same brand who have run out of the original tips. Anyone who does not have the pen needs that first, because the tips cannot be used on their own. It pays to have a replacement to hand before the original tip runs out: that is precisely the moment at which one is most easily tempted to do the cleaning up with whatever else is lying on the bench, and to scratch the surrounding area with it.
