These are pre-colored 3D decals for the interior in 1:35 scale for a model of the Pantsir-S1 self-propelled anti-aircraft system, in Western designation SA-22 Greyhound. It is not a kit and not a resin set: the decals are applied to the plastic interior parts and replace their flat or merely hinted details with a colored rendering. What matters is that this set is cut for the Meng kit. The package does not contain the kit, paints or clear coats.
The Pantsir-S1 is a Russian self-propelled anti-aircraft system that combines radar equipment, guided missiles and rapid-fire cannons on a single chassis. It is deployed in a configuration on a heavy wheeled chassis, so the model combines a bulky vehicle cab with the rotating part carrying the armament and the radars. On kits in this scale the interior of the cab and the crew stations tends to be detailed but flat, and that is exactly where pre-colored decals pay off.
The surface has to be smooth and glossy: paint the parts, let them dry perfectly and spray them with gloss varnish. The decal has no adhesive layer of its own and holds precisely on the gloss. Soak it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds, wait until it releases from the backing paper and slide it into place with a soft brush. Blot up the excess water with a tissue. Do not use a decal softener or setter even on edges, pressings and uneven surfaces: their chemistry will attack the printed resin and destroy the element. On uneven places a drop of super glue helps. At the end blend the surface with a flat or semi-gloss clear coat. Finish the interior before you close up the cab.
This is an accessory set of decals, not a model. The basic kit, paints and clear coats are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
