1:72 MiG-29 9-13 SPACE from Eduard fits out the cockpit of the Soviet fighter with colored decals carrying a three-dimensional relief.
Responsibility details are not available.
The 9-13 form is recognized from the basic MiG-29 by the enlarged spine behind the cockpit, into which more fuel and further equipment fitted. The interior stayed typically Soviet, that is full of round dials and switches. Eduard offers decals with printed relief for it in 1:72 scale, which replace painting by hand.
First spray the whole cockpit with a base color and polish it with gloss varnish. The decals then settle with no air pockets. Work from the large areas to the small placards, moisten only the backing paper each time and lift the element off with tweezers into a drop of white glue; do not use a decal softener at all. At the end, go over the cabin with matte varnish so that the sheen disappears.
The MiG-29 was created as a lighter counterweight to heavy fighters and became famous for its agility and its ability to take off from roughly prepared strips. A pair of engines, large air intakes with protective doors and twin vertical tail surfaces make up its immediately recognizable silhouette. The variant with the internal designation 9-13 carried a strengthened structure and a greater fuel load, thanks to which its range grew. Aircraft of this type flew with dozens of air arms, including those of central Europe.
No plastic kit belongs with this item and nothing to glue and spray.
