A set of 3D printed and color-finished decals on decal paper from Quinta Studio for a detailed cockpit of a Curtiss P-40B model in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory to a base model: relief decals replace flat instrument panels and side panels and give the cockpit three-dimensional depth and legible dials.
The Curtiss P-40B is an early version of the American single-seat fighter of the start of the Second World War. It became famous with, among others, the Flying Tigers volunteer group in China; the P-40 type served on many fronts as a dependable, rugged and easily produced machine.
Cut the part out, leave it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper onto the cockpit parts coated with gloss varnish; it has no adhesive layer and holds precisely on the gloss. Do not use a softener or a setting solution, as they attack the printed resin and destroy the part; settle the relief with a brush and a drop of cyanoacrylate, and a matte varnish will unify the surface. Test the fit dry before the fuselage is closed up.
A separate detail accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included.
