Responsibility details are not available.
The set offers 3D printed engine nacelles for a model of the four-engine strategic cargo aircraft Antonov An-124 Ruslan. The printed parts catch the thin edges of the intakes and the fine division of the nacelles better than an injection mold can. The model of the aircraft is not part of the package; it is an accessory for a plastic model in 1:144 scale. The set is meant for the Revell kit.
The An-124 Ruslan is a heavy transport aircraft with a high-mounted wing and four D-18T turbofan engines. It first took off in the first half of the nineteen-eighties and to this day it is among the largest series-built cargo aircraft in the world. Cargo gets into it both through the lifting nose and through the rear ramp, and the landing gear can kneel so as to lower the height of the cargo floor. It is precisely thanks to that that the Ruslan found a second life in the civil carriage of consignments that will not fit into any other aircraft.
Wash the printed parts in lukewarm water with detergent first and let them dry. Cut the print supports away with a sharp scalpel or a fine saw and level the flats left by them with fine sandpaper wet, with your airways protected. Use cyanoacrylate glue to join them; cement for plastic will not help here. Before painting, lay on a thin layer of primer, which will reveal any steps left by the printing and improve the adhesion of the covering layer. The metal surfaces of the nacelles stand out best in metallic shades rounded out with a fine wash into the joints.
