Decals 1:144 for eight An-2 biplanes, from Aeroflot through polar aviation to military machines.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Antonov An-2 first flew in 1947 and became the largest series-built single-engine biplane in the world. It could take off from a meadow and land on snow or on water, and in the countries of the Eastern bloc it did literally everything: it delivered the mail, dusted the fields, dropped parachutists and carried geologists to places with no runway. Some examples are still in service today, that is more than seven decades after the first flight.
The sheet gives a choice of eight machines and the range is unusually wide. You will find an East German military aircraft of the early 1980s with a nonstandard finish, two forms of the Aeroflot scheme of the 1960s, a polar aviation machine with striking colored markings, a navy aircraft and a Polish civilian example in its original colors. They are joined by a Soviet Air Force machine with the fuselage number 802, which served with the troops stationed in East Germany.
In 1:144 scale the An-2 is tiny, but its finishes tend to be conspicuous. The orange and red areas of the polar and transport machines need a light base, otherwise the green or silver paint underneath shows through them. We recommend finishing the interplane struts and the bracing wires only after the markings have been applied, so that they do not get in the way while you settle the motifs.
In the bag there is a printed sheet, not a kit. The model of the aircraft and the paints have to be obtained separately.
