Injection-molded short-run plastic kit in 1:144 scale from Amodel. The model captures the British Avro 691 Lancastrian airliner with its characteristic four engines and slim fuselage. The box holds parts for the fuselage, wings and engine nacelles, plus decals.
The Avro Lancastrian was a postwar transport and mail aircraft derived from the successful four-engine Avro Lancaster bomber. The conversion offered extended range and found use on long-haul routes and mail services in the first postwar years. The aircraft thus combined a proven airframe with a civilian purpose.
As with any short-run kit, expect to spend more time cleaning up the parts and dry-fitting them; fill any gaps with putty. Use thin cement for plastic. Bond the glazing with an adhesive made for clear parts. A primer, an airbrush and gentle panel shading are worth it, and natural metal comes to life with polished metallic paints.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
