BAe Harrier GR.1/VA.1 Matador (1:144, Mark I Models) is a plastic kit of the British vertical take-off aircraft with decals for the RAF and for the Spanish Navy.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British vertical and short take-off (V/STOL) Harrier aircraft in 1:144 scale from the manufacturer Mark I Models. The small but detailed model contains a clear part for the canopy and a rich decal sheet covering several forms, the British RAF and the Spanish naval VA.1 Matador.
The Hawker Siddeley Harrier was the first production combat aircraft capable of vertical take-off and landing, developed in Great Britain from the experimental P.1127. The GR.1 version entered RAF service at the turn of the 1960s and 1970s as a strike and reconnaissance machine. The export version for the Spanish Navy received the local designation VA.1 Matador, and some of these machines later served with the Royal Thai Navy as well.
Glue the parts with modeling cement for plastic and rub the small joints down. In such a small scale clean masking and fine painting are the key, and an airbrush with thin coats is ideal. Varnish the clear canopy at the end, and a gloss varnish under the decals will prevent the small markings silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
