A plastic kit of the four-engined Boeing 720 jet airliner in 1:144 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Boeing 720 is a shortened and lightened variant of the Boeing 707 airliner, meant for shorter routes and for airports with shorter runways. It differs from its predecessor in a shorter fuselage and a reworked leading edge of the inner part of the wing, while otherwise both machines keep the same handwriting: a slender fuselage, a swept wing and a quartet of engines hung on pylons under the wing. The 720 entered service at the start of the 1960s and belongs to the first generation of jet airliners.
A model in 1:144 scale, in which airliners are rewarding: the finished piece fits into a display case and still keeps a legible shape. The plastic parts are supplied unassembled and unpainted, so the look of the finished model depends on your work.
On an airliner a smooth fuselage and a straight line of windows are what counts; fill and sand the seams, or the gloss coat will accentuate them instead of hiding them. Finish the sanding with a fine grit, as coarser marks will show through under the gloss. If you build the model with the landing gear down, count on nose weight and put it in before you glue the fuselage together, otherwise the aircraft will sit on its tail. Apply the paint in thin coats and use a gloss coat under the decals.
For collectors of airliners and for modelers who are fond of the beginnings of jet travel. Paints, glue, putty and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
