An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary American strategic bomber in 1:144 scale from the maker Academy. The model has finely engraved panel lines, clear parts for the cockpit and the windows, and allows assembly with the landing gear extended or retracted. Underwing bombs for the version intended for conventional bombing are included as well.
The B-52 Stratofortress is an eight-engine strategic bomber with a range beyond intercontinental distances, brought into service in the 1950s. The B-52D version was adapted in the Vietnam War to carry a large number of conventional bombs, which made it a symbol of the raids of that time. The aircraft remains in active service even after decades and is among the longest-serving bombers in history.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Before painting we recommend a primer, which will reveal any shortcomings in the joints of the long fuselage and wing surfaces. Large areas are best painted with an airbrush; a matte protective varnish will help to even out the camouflage. Because of the large span, consider a firm mounting of the landing gear or a stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
