Dassault Mirage IIIO/EP/RZ/5AD 1:144 is an injection-molded plastic kit of the export versions of the supersonic delta from the Mark I Models brand. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.

The box brings together several export versions of the French supersonic delta at once: the fighter, the reconnaissance and the simplified attack variant of the Mirage 5 line. The kit is released by the Czech brand Mark I Models. For a collector it is an interesting way into the subject: one basic airframe, but several different operator forms that can gradually be lined up side by side. The set is intended to be glued and painted.
The Mirage III was a single-engine tailless aircraft with a triangular wing and a turbojet with an afterburner. Besides the French Air Force it was taken in large numbers by foreign operators, in forms adapted to local requirements, from the classic fighter version through a photo-reconnaissance conversion with cameras in the nose to the lightened Mirage 5 attack variant, which came about by simplifying the instrument equipment in favor of payload and endurance. The designations given in the product name refer to exactly these export forms. The type stayed in active service with some operators for decades and saw later upgrades as well.
Think about which version you want before you start building, because the reconnaissance variant has a different nose and the individual noses cannot be swapped. The join of the wing to the fuselage calls for careful filling, as it runs into a continuous surface with no engraving. With the camouflage schemes of the desert operators it pays to lighten the colors slightly, otherwise a model in a small scale looks darker than it should. Leave the exhaust nozzle and its surroundings for last and use shades for metal surfaces, which rub off easily.
