Decals for the Ilyushin Il-14M in the colors of the Hungarian carrier MALÉV, 1:144 scale from HAD models. A sheet of wet decals for a model of the twin-engine airliner.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of wet decals in its own right for a model of the twin-engine piston-powered Il-14 airliner in the M version in the guise of the Hungarian airline MALÉV. It is not a kit: the sheet holds markings with which you supplement a model or replace the decals supplied in the box. The 1:144 scale is the most widespread one for airliners of this size.
The Il-14 is a Soviet airliner with a pair of radial piston engines which followed on from the earlier Il-12 and in the 1950s and 1960s formed the backbone of the scheduled network in a number of European countries. The Il-14M version has a lengthened fuselage and a greater passenger capacity. MALÉV, the Hungarian airline, operated these machines on shorter routes, where their tolerance of modest airfields paid off.
Varnish the fuselage with gloss clear coat before application, as the silvery, smooth surfaces of airliners suit decals and the film will settle on them without haze. Cut the design out close to the printing, dip it in lukewarm water and let it rest until it starts to slide on the backing. Settle the long lines along the fuselage on plenty of water, so that you can line them up with the axis of the fuselage. Once the water has been soaked up, leave the decal to dry undisturbed and only then fix the area with a varnish of the sheen you have chosen.
This is a decal sheet in its own right, not a kit. The model, paints and varnishes are not included in the package.
