A resin kit of the famous streamlined Texaco Doodlebug tanker truck in 1:144 scale from the brand Brengun. The model is intended for experienced modelers; besides the resin parts it holds a clear vacuum-formed part and photo-etched parts and offers several marking variants.
The Texaco Doodlebug was a futuristically shaped American tanker truck of the 1930s, which came about as part of the modernization of the Texaco brand. Its aerodynamic, streamlined shapes were designed by the team of a leading industrial designer of the day and the vehicle became an advertising icon. The body and the chassis were created at renowned American makers and the first machine was presented to the public at the beginning of 1933.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut the casting blocks off and do the sanding with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Cut the clear vacuum-formed part out carefully with a margin. The smooth streamlined surfaces deserve a quality base and a gloss clear coat; apply the striking advertising decals onto a smooth glossy surface, so that no silvering edges arise.
It is supplied as a kit in resin, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
