Brengun 1:144 German fuel jerrycans is an accessory set of miniature German jerrycans for fuel. It is not a kit but a small accessory for a finished model or for a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory set from the Czech maker Brengun meant for modelers who want to get into their scene in 1:144 scale the small things that are not put into plastic kits. The contents are miniature German jerrycans, that is, a typical element of the equipment of field airfields, columns and parking areas. The set cannot be built on its own; it serves as an accessory.
The German standard jerrycan introduced in the second half of the 1930s had a capacity of twenty liters, three handles one above the other and a characteristic cross pressed into the side wall. The shape proved so practical that after the first pieces were captured the Allies took it over too, and in a practically unchanged form it is in use to this day. That is exactly why the set looks so matter-of-course in a diorama: a jerrycan of this shape sets the viewer into the setting of field logistics at once.
In 1:144 scale these are really small parts, so work over a surface with a raised edge and use tweezers with fine tips. Degrease the separated parts first, then apply a thin coat of primer. Spray the base shade with an airbrush and let it be varied: a few jerrycans in a different tone look better than a whole group in one color. A saturated wash will bring out the handles and the pressed cross, and apply small rusty patches with the tip of a brush entirely minimally, because in this scale every overdone effect tells.
The set is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
