1:144 German pilot of the Second World War, two pieces is a set of two small figures in 1:144 scale. It is not a kit: it is an accessory that brings an aircraft model already built, or an airfield scene, to life.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pair of pilot figures scaled to 1:144 from the Czech accessory maker Brengun. The figures complete a model you already have and are not a model in themselves. In 1:144 scale a figure measures approximately twelve millimeters, about the size of a little fingernail, and the tools and the painting procedure have to be chosen accordingly.
A figure beside an aircraft tells you the size of the machine at once. On single-seat fighters in 1:144 scale it is often the only way to give a model a sense of scale, because there is no other point of comparison. In a display case it works more reliably than the finest weathering.
Remove the casting remnant from the figure with a sharp scalpel, run a sanding sponge over the fine seam and degrease the part. It pays to paint the figure before you glue it down, mounted on a toothpick or a wooden stick attached with a drop of glue at the feet. Spray the base coat and paint the rest with a size zero brush or smaller. Thin the paint more than usual on an area this small and apply it in two thin coats: thick paint floods the engraved folds. Finish with a matte varnish so that the figure does not shine in backlight.
The figures are supplied unpainted and without a model. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
