1:144 Hawker Hurricanes of Czechoslovak pilots (Nos.1, 17, 32, 310 & 312 Sq. RAF)

DK Decals 1:144 Hawker Hurricane, Czechoslovak pilots in the RAF

This set of waterslide decals from DK Decals brings markings for the British Hawker Hurricane fighter in 1:144 scale. It focuses on the machines that Czechoslovak pilots flew during the Second World War with Nos. 1, 17, 32, 310 and 312 Squadrons of the Royal Air Force. It is a stand-alone accessory for markings, not a kit of the aircraft.

The real subject

The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter that, together with the Spitfire, bore the main weight of the Battle of Britain. It was rugged, easy to repair and steady as a gun platform. Czechoslovak airmen left a significant mark in its cockpit in the fighting of 1940 and 1941, both with mixed British squadrons and with the newly formed Czechoslovak units, Nos. 310 and 312.

Application tips

• In the small 1:144 scale handle the decals with particular care, ideally with tweezers.
• Apply them over a smooth gloss finish and use a decal softener across engraved detail.
• Settle the small national insignia and codes with a setting solution so that they lie down without bubbles.

Who the set is for

• Builders of small models in 1:144 scale.
• Anyone interested in Czechoslovak airmen in the RAF.
• Collectors of historically accurate markings.

This is a set of decals, not a kit. The model, paints and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
