An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern Russian Kamov Ka-52 attack helicopter in 1:144 scale from Zvezda. The model is designed as a snap-fit, so the parts click together and the basic assembly can be managed without glue. The small scale makes the model a practical addition to a collection and a good kit for a quick build. The model is supplied unpainted.
The Ka-52 Alligator is the two-seat attack version of the Ka-50 family of helicopters with the characteristic coaxial twin-rotor layout and no tail rotor. The two pilots sit side by side and the machine serves to destroy ground targets, to reconnoiter and to direct fire. The coaxial rotors give good agility and performance even at high altitude.
Thanks to the snap-fit design the model can be assembled quickly; even so, the joints can be spot-glued for strength. For the best appearance, separate and clean up the parts, spray a primer and use masking for the camouflage scheme. Leave the coaxial rotors and the external stores separate for painting. A fine wash brings out the small details.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
