Photo-etched seat belts for German aircraft in 1:144 scale are an accessory set for a kit you have already bought, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
An aftermarket set from the Czech maker Brengun. The contents are photo-etched belts meant to complete the seats in the cabins of German aircraft in 1:144 scale. The set holds neither a model nor seats; it is reckoned that you already have the kit and the interior.
An empty seat always looks like a molding. As soon as belts hang on it, the eye reads at once that this is a place where somebody sat. In 1:144 scale it is the quickest way of getting life into a cabin, because practically nothing else can be fitted in there. It tells best on models finished with the canopy slid back or hinged open.
Photo-etched sheet is hard as delivered and springs back. So anneal it before shaping: pass a piece of the sheet briefly over a flame until it changes color slightly, and let it cool. The material then stays in the shape you bend it into, and a belt can be thrown naturally over the edge of the cushion, so that it does not look like a glued-on strip. Shape it over the rounded handle of a tool or over wire, not between your fingers. The painting is simple: a matte light ground for the webbing, a metal shade applied with the tip of a brush to the buckles and finally a very thin dark wash that separates the webbing from the seat. It is glued with super glue in a slight amount, or the glue will creep between the straps and stick them into one surface.
The set is an aftermarket accessory. The kit, the seats, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
