An injection-molded plastic kit of the German rocket interceptor Zeppelin Rammer in 1:72 scale from the Czech brand Brengun. What is special about the package is that it holds parts for building two models (two sets of parts), together with clear canopies, a photo-etched fret and a decal sheet. A stand for displaying the finished model is usually included as well.
The Zeppelin Rammer was one of the so-called Luft'46 projects — concepts of late German design from the end of the Second World War that never left the drawing board. It was a design for a small rocket aircraft meant to attack formations of enemy bombers; after firing a salvo of rockets the machine was to ram the opponent outright with a strengthened wing and then land on a skid. The aircraft was never built in series or used in action, which makes it an attractive subject for collectors of paper projects.
The small model goes together fairly quickly; take care to glue the photo-etched parts cleanly (use cyanoacrylate glue on them). The small dimensions favor an airbrush and soft transitions. Because this is a hypothetical machine, you have creative freedom in choosing the finish and the markings within the range of period German schemes. The two sets in the package let you build a pair, for instance in different camouflage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
