The MiG-19 In Polish Service decal set in 1:144 scale brings markings for the supersonic MiG-19 fighters operated by the Polish Air Force.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of waterslide decals from the brand Model Maker in 1:144 scale, devoted to the MiG-19 fighter in Polish service. The set is not a kit or a photo-etched accessory; it serves to mark a model that you build separately. How many schemes the sheet offers and which particular machines it covers should be checked against the illustration on the packaging.
The MiG-19 was the first Soviet series-produced fighter able to hold supersonic speed in level flight. Its recognition features are the pair of engines in the rear fuselage and the markedly swept wing. The type formed the transition between the subsonic generation around the MiG-17 and the later delta-wing MiG-21. In the Polish Air Force it served during the Cold War above all in the interceptor role, where a fast climb to altitude was valued.
Spray the surface under the decals with a gloss varnish, ideally once the camouflage is dry and before the weathering. Cut the motif out as closely as possible, soak it in lukewarm water and let the film release from the backing paper. Move the decal onto the model, adjust the position and blot the surplus water away. On busy places such as the wing roots or engraved lines, a decal softener helps. Let it dry thoroughly and only then knock the model back to matte, or give it a semi-gloss varnish. In 1:144 scale patience is the key, since small markings shift easily.
The package holds decals. The kit, the paints and the varnishes are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
