A molded transparent canopy cover for the Mirage III in 1:144 scale. A thin film replaces the thick plastic part and opens up the view onto the seat and the instrument panel.

The Dassault Mirage III is a single-engined tailless fighter with a triangular wing, whose development ran from the middle of the 1950s. The machine became an export hit and served from Switzerland through Israel and South Africa as far as Australia and Argentina. It was precisely in Israeli colors that it won its reputation during the fighting of 1967, and its shape became the pattern for a whole family of derived types.
A characteristic element of the nose is the slender cockpit canopy with a sharp spine, which passes into the tail. In 1:144 scale the whole part measures barely a centimeter and every tenth of a millimeter of thickness is visible.
The molding has a wall that is practically imperceptible, so one really does look through it. The sharp transitions of the frames stay legible even after spraying and the interior stops being merely guessed at.
The accessory reckons with a kit of the Mark I brand in the same scale. On another edition of the type it will most likely be necessary to adjust the length of the seating and the slope of the rear transition, which is ordinary work with molded parts and the material takes it without complaint. The reward is a forward part of the model that does not look like a glued prism but like an aircraft.
