Mark I 1:144 Mirage IIID/50DC/50DV/Dagger B Australia & South America is an injection-molded plastic kit of two-seat delta-wing aircraft in 1:144 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An unassembled and unpainted kit in injection-molded plastic from the Mark I brand. The box is focused on the two-seat variants of the Mirage family and its derivatives as operators in Australia and in South America flew them.
The basis is a single-engine supersonic aircraft in a tailless layout with a low-mounted triangular wing. The two-seat versions have a lengthened forward fuselage with two seats in tandem and served for training and conversion, while a number of them remained usable for combat tasks as well. The Dagger designation belongs to a derivative built outside France that differed from the original Mirage mainly in equipment. Typical features of the whole family are the sharp nose, the side air intakes with regulating cones and the tall fin.
Fill and sand the wing-to-fuselage joint, because on a delta every unevenness on the leading edge shows. Glue with liquid cement for plastic applied by capillary action. Mask the glazing of the two-seat cockpit with narrow tape or liquid masking putty; at this scale it pays to cut the masks on a mat under a magnifier. A thin primer comes before the paint, evens out the plastic and reveals any remaining seams. The camouflage schemes of the South American and Australian machines tend to be multicolored, so use soft masking raised above the surface to divide the areas and keep the transition from being hard. Apply the decals onto a gloss coat and fix them with a matte or satin finish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
