An injection-molded plastic kit of the Antonov An-3 turboprop biplane in 1:144 scale. The model from Amodel is short-run in character and also offers a clear glazing part and fine photo-etched parts for the struts and the control hinges. It is supplied to be glued and painted.
The Antonov An-3 is the turboprop development stage of the famous An-2 multipurpose biplane. A turboprop replaced the classic piston engine, which raised the performance and the payload. The aircraft was used mainly in agriculture and as a general utility aircraft in harsh climates.
The fine photo-etched struts and hinges call for a steady hand, tweezers and super glue. Fit the interplane struts with the geometry of a biplane in mind and let them dry thoroughly. Glue the plastic parts with liquid cement, clean off the flash and dry-fit. A primer is recommended; apply the paints with an airbrush and settle the small decals with a decal softener.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
