A printed display base for models from Mark I in a smaller format, reproducing the surface of a Luftwaffe airfield in 1:144 scale. It is neither a kit nor an accessory to a model, but a separate paper base (a cardboard sheet) on which a model shows to striking advantage both in photographs and in a display case.
The base creates a realistic surface under aircraft models in 1:144 scale in the form of an airfield surface of the Second World War period. The smaller format suits a single model or a small diorama. Thanks to the general motif it can be used for models in other scales as well. You need only lay it on a flat surface and place the model on it.
We recommend mounting the base on a stiffer board or weighting it, so that it does not curl. The edges can be hidden with a frame or a strip. For a longer life a coat of matte protective varnish suits, which protects the surface against abrasion.
