This detailed modeling figure in the large 1:16 scale captures a member of the Czechoslovak Financial Guard of 1938 in its winter form, in variant B. It is a resin, or possibly 3D printed, figure to be assembled, cleaned up and painted by hand. The large format makes it possible to work the winter clothing, the equipment and the face up in high detail.
The Financial Guard was the armed body that guarded the state border and the customs interests of Czechoslovakia. In 1938 its members became part of the mixed units of Straz obrany statu, the State Defense Guard, and took part in the defense of the borderland. The winter version of the figure matches the equipment for cold weather that the members wore on patrol duty on the border.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks or the print supports off and sand the mold seams back. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Once the base coat of primer has gone on, paint the winter clothing and the face with acrylic or oil paints; layered shading and a dry brush will bring out the texture of the cloth and the folds of the clothing.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
