A sizable injection-molded plastic model of the American M4A1 Sherman medium tank in its late configuration in the large 1:16 scale from the I Love Kit brand. This large scale means impressive size and an exceptional level of detail. The package combines injection-molded plastic with photo-etched metal, a metal gun barrel, metal cable, individual track links and an additional resin figure.
The M4A1 was one of the main production versions of the famous Sherman medium tank, recognizable by its characteristic cast upper hull with rounded shapes. It was powered by a radial gasoline engine, which contributed to the tall silhouette of the whole Sherman family. The late configuration brought a number of production changes. The Sherman was the most widespread Allied tank of the Second World War.
In the large 1:16 scale the details of the running gear and the interior show to advantage, so paint them before you close the hull up. Glue the plastic parts with modeling cement for plastic and the photo-etched and metal parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). After a coat of primer and airbrushed paint, bring the large area of the tank to life with a wash in the recesses and with pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear.
